Okay, I saw that my last blog discussed events in the middle of the summer. Apparently, I'm way
overdue for an update. That's how busy it's been. I'm en route to Alberta right now, having just gone
through the IBMA week. I got a good night's sleep there, which was spread over 6 days, which worked
out to about an hour and a half a night, less than the doctor-recommended amount. Highlights of the
week were as follows: getting to be the announcer for the awards show, which was very well-produced
by Night Drivers banjo player Ned Luberecki and Cindy Baucom. We made our annual appearance at Dixie
and Tom T. Hall's Good Homegrown Music showcase room, which we always enjoy. We had a last-minute
cancellaton, so thanks to former band member Jeremy Garrett (The Infamous Stringdusters) for filling
in. As always, it's always good to reunite with friends from the bluegrass community from around the
world that I hardly ever get to see. It was also good to meet lots of our Sirius Bluegrass listeners
in person.
Publicity update: Ned Luberecki is on the cover of this month's Banjo Newsletter. Not to be outdone, I
will be the cover boy of the Nov/Dec issue of Flatpicking Guitar Magazine. I asked to be on the cover
of Banjo Newsletter myself, but they seemed strangely disinterested in the idea.
Stay tuned for important studio news ahead.

Important news: Lisa Jacobi (of the band Steel String Session) redesigned this website. Her web development
company is Curmudgeon Cafe. Thanks to her and to my brother Ben Jones for all their hard work.
